Goth Wedding Cake

This is the fabulous Gothic themed wedding cake that was created for the very first wedding event held at the Hellfire Caves at High Wycombe near to West Wycombe. Hellfire caves is a stunning and awe inspiring location for a themed event especially a themed wedding. The challenge of getting the cake hundreds of feet through tunnels and caves with undulating floors and low headroom was quite an amazing experience.  The Gothic wedding cake was stunning and created specifically to out clients design ideas, Lesa our client was absolutely thrilled. See the amazing pictures of this fabulous wedding below published with the permission of Lesa, please contact us if you would like a Gothic cake created.
The cake was three tiers with a fruit cake base, it was incredibly heavy and had a good soaking of brandy too. The impact was truly remarkable with stunning red and black sugar-crafted roses. As you can see from the close up picture they are remarkable in perfect rose form, delicate petals with a deep and rich lustre.

The main theme was Gothic and the wedding party was generally Gothic /  Steampunk / Dark Character specific dress. The setting of Hellfire Caves really pulled everything together and so nobody looked out of place and the overall effect was truly remarkable.

Staff at Hellfire Caves were also incredibly helpful and were on hand to assist with making sure the cake was kept from harm on its presentation table. The Hellfire Caves has an incredible history and they were originally created through chalk mining. We found it very atmospheric and the expanse of tunnels and caverns was quite impactful. After the caves were created they were named after the 'HellFire Club' this was an aristocratic gentleman's club of questionable moralistic motives.

This all adds to what was a truly memorable wedding cake venue for us at MyFairCakery.
