The Elephant Man
My Fair Cakerys proudest achievement to date - making the celebration cake for the opening night of The Elephant Man show at Theatre Royal, Haymarket in 2015. As a Bradley Cooper fan myself I really enjoyed putting this cake together. The cast were brilliant and so complimentary, what I like most is that after a series of weeks of intensive rehearsal plus the opening night they were all still full of fun.
Bradley Cooper, Scott Lowell and Alessandro Nivola along with the rest of a very strong Hollywood cast tucked into this extra special cake at the after party, enjoying a rich fruit cake base, a chocolate cake with lashings of chocolate buttercream and two tiers of sweet Madeira cake with Madagascan Vanilla buttercream filling.

Queens Unofficial Birthday Cake
Robert Lindsay and Fellow Patrons
Robert Lindsay and Fellow Patrons
Here is the unofficial birthday for the queen, it was commissioned by the board of The Royal Theatrical Fund whose patron is The Queen. Among the board members are MP's and the delightful Robert Lindsay. The cake was based on the best of British and dare we say it usurped the official cake created for Her Majesty by some margin.
Scrooge Time at
Theatre Craft
This company are the un-sung heroes of the theatre world. Staging a very successful event at The Royal Opera House, London their aim is to bring jobs, careers and vocations to people who are interested in working within theatre but behind the scenes instead of upfront and centre stage. As part of their event, they commissioned a cake from My Fair Cakery and I have to say we had a lot of fun getting in all the detail.
With their logo badges around the top tier, we then designed a tier which depicted various plays that had been staged with the help of Theatre Craft - Breakfast at Tiffanys, Godot, The Elephant Man and The Tempest. The base tier depicted various roles and areas that are covered by Theatre Craft - wardrobe, set building, sound and lighting. We used some ingenious techniques to literally light up this last panel with real coloured spotlights which looked very effective.

You can see these below being cut and enjoyed by Paul Hollywood, Chris Evans and Tom Kerridge.

Texas
It was during one of the Car Fest events that the 25th anniversary of top band, Texas, getting together and producing their first hit song happened to fall so what better way to help them celebrate than with chocolate cake. When we were contacted by the organisers of the event to commission this cake they were concerned about the fact that lead singer Sharleen Spiteri is a coeliac sufferer. Not a problem here, My Fair Cakery were very meticulous in ensuring that a tasty cake was produced with only gluten and wheat free ingredients. Silhouettes of band members decorated one side of the cake along with edible real silver leaf and the score from one of their top songs, Black Eyed Boy, was printed onto edible rice paper to wrap around the other side of the cake.
