Our History |
My Fair Cakery started by creating cakes for Theatreland in London, our cakes were commissioned for opening nights and after show parties. We created spectacular cakes that were loved by the actors, actresses and production staff.
It was all quite discreet with some very famous leading personalities enjoying our cakes. Then in 2014 it all changed when we were asked to create an opening night cake for Bradley Cooper the Hollywood actor and the cast of The Elephant Man. The cake was astonishing and the cast went mad over it, they tweeted pictures and sent pictures through all the social media channels. The secret was out that My Fair Cakery made extraordinary cakes for very famous people. The limelight soon started requests coming in for wedding cakes because in between our first night cake jobs we had been creating wedding cakes for London based weddings. The publicity caused a big stir on Twitter and was soon followed by commissions for other celebrity cakes such as the 25th anniversary cake for Texas (the pop group) as well as cakes for Chris Evans Car Fest raising money for Children in Need. These can all be seen in my gallery along with other personalities such as Paul Hollywood. Additional commissions arrived including a birthday cake to celebrate the Queens birthday which was received by the great actor Robert Lindsay and his city based team . Another request was for the fabulous Damien Lewis whose list of Hollywood films and productions is miles long. He stars in the sold out production 'The Goat' which is having rave accolades and sold out in two weeks. Our wedding cake business grew and we now design a wide range of cakes for all types of weddings, our cakes also cover all dietary requirements. We have delivered cakes to a huge range of venues including - Tower Bridge, Whitehall Place, Hellfire Caves, Woodhall Manor, Dodford Manor, Channels and so many more. Most of our wedding cakes are delivered to Essex, Suffolk and the M25 Corridor. Here at My Fair Cakery we take great pride in ensuring all our cakes our unique and use only the finest ingredients. When designing we like to take elements of the recipients personality, favourite colours, hobbies, interests etc and have also had some quirky requests for cakes where only the closest friends and family know the significance (sometimes its best to create and just not ask!). The two venues that stand out most for experience and atmosphere are Tower Bridge which was such an amazing experience. Then the incredible Hellfire Caves in High Wycombe where we delivered a Gothic wedding cake to a cave labyrinth deep underground. We pride ourselves in getting the right inspiration for the perfect individualist cake, we work with our customers via telephone, Skype, social media and face to face consultation. We deliver cakes hundreds of miles (if the price is right :) ) and My Fair Cakery have never failed a customer even delivering in a blizzard in our 4x4. Prices for cakes here much depend on the amount of work that will go into your cake so each is priced on it's complexity, size and composition. For portion sizing we have a special guide to assist you here. Cake Portion Guide |
